It's all about learning the game in a fun, safe, and active environment, building essential skills, and making new friends along the way. What is Woolworths Cricket Blast?
Woolworths Cricket Blast is at Everton Districts Cricket Club is divided into two exciting programs, tailored to different age groups and skill levels:
1. New to Cricket (General Ages 5-7)
2. Developing Skills (General Ages 7-10)
1. New to Cricket (General Ages 5-7)
- Perfect for Beginners: This program is ideal for kids new to cricket.
 - Fun & Games: Sessions are packed with exciting, game-based activities that teach fundamental cricket skills like catching, throwing, and batting, all in a non-competitive setting.
 - Parent Participation Encouraged: We love it when parents get involved! It's a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with your child and even learn some new skills yourself.
 - Safe & Inclusive: We use plastic bats and softer balls to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all abilities.
 - Session Length: Typically 60 minutes of action-packed fun!
 
2. Developing Skills (General Ages 7-10)
- Ready for More Action: Designed for kids who have some basic cricket skills or have progressed from Junior Blasters.
 - Modified Games: Participants get to experience short, action-packed games of cricket, putting their skills into practice in a team environment.
 - Every Child Bats, Bowls & Fields: Maximum participation is key! Everyone gets a go and contributes to the team.
 - Develop Skills: Focus on refining cricket techniques and understanding game play in a social setting.

		Each Woolworths Cricket Blast session at Everton Districts Cricket Club is designed for maximum fun and learning:
- Warm-up & Welcome: Get ready to move and meet your fellow Blasters!
 - Skill-Based Activities: Engaging drills and games focused on batting, bowling, catching, and fielding.
 - Modified Games (Master Blasters): Putting skills into action in fun, short game scenarios.
 - Team Challenges & Laughter: Plenty of opportunities for teamwork, cheering, and enjoying the spirit of cricket!
 - Cool Down & Wrap Up: Reflect on the fun and learning from the session.

Playing Equipment
		
			At Everton Districts Cricket Club, we make it easy for your child to get involved!
All necessary playing equipment is provided for every Woolworths Cricket Blast session. This includes bats, balls, wickets, and protective gear suitable for the program.
Just make sure your child comes dressed in comfortable athletic clothes, suitable for running around, and brings a water bottle to stay hydrated. We've got the rest covered!

Queensland Play On! Sports Vouchers
		
			Everton Districts Cricket Club is excited to accept Queensland Play On! Sports Vouchers, making it easier for children to get involved in competitive cricket! These vouchers offer $200 to help Queensland families with living costs and keep kids active in sport.
What are Play On! Vouchers?
"Play On!" Sports Vouchers are a Queensland Government initiative, providing $200 per child aged 5 to 17 years. They're designed to help cover sport and active recreation costs, ensuring more children, including those in regional areas and of all abilities, have the chance to play.
What They Cover with Us
These $200 vouchers can be redeemed directly with Everton Districts Cricket Club to significantly reduce your child's membership fees for the upcoming cricket season.
How to Apply
1. Stay Updated: Vouchers are released in specific application rounds for summer and winter sports. We recommend signing up for updates on the official website to know exactly when a round opens.
2. Visit the Official Site: Go to https://www.sport.qld.gov.au/sport/funding-programs/play-on
3. Apply Online: Follow the instructions on the government website to claim your voucher.
How to Use Your Voucher with Us
1. Register Your Child: Complete our club's online registration for the season.
2. Enter Voucher: During registration, you'll be prompted to enter your unique Play On! voucher number. The $200 will be deducted from your total fees.
3. Pay Balance: Only pay any remaining amount.
