What a fantastic three weekends of junior cricket at Everton Districts Cricket Club! Huge congratulations to Team Thunder and coach Clinton Keenan for claiming the title, featuring Everton’s own Ryker Rostron, Joseph Lalor, Arthur Pye, and Hugo Lalor.
Shoutout also to Cooper Conomos for a brilliant tournament, and a huge thank you to the BNJCA and all our supportive families!
U16 star Tom Clapham put on a phenomenal bowling masterclass in the senior Dads & Lads team alongside his father Paul, following up a first-innings 4/39 with a stunning 5 for 20 off 11 overs (including 4 maidens).
His incredible match figures of 9/59 restricted Carina to 122, securing a famous victory and sneaking the team into the finals.
Chasing 205, Valleys were looking comfortable at 2/111 before young leg-spinner Cooper Conomos turned the U13s match on its head.
Coming on in a tight spot, he combined with Ryker for a sharp stumping before blowing the game wide open with three wickets in a single over, finishing a brilliant spell with figures of 5 for 20 off 6 overs to leave Valleys reeling at 7/122
