what we do

Everton Districts Cricket Club (EDCC) is more than just a place to play cricket, it’s a thriving community where players of all ages grow, connect, and lead. Located in the heart of Brisbane’s northside, our club has proudly served the local area for over 50 years, fostering a culture of inclusivity, sportsmanship, and personal development.

We offer programs for juniors, seniors, and veterans, with a strong emphasis on youth leadership, emotional resilience, and teamwork. Whether you're stepping onto the pitch for the first time or returning for another season, EDCC provides a welcoming environment where every player is valued and supported.

Our facilities include high-quality turf and synthetic pitches, modern training nets, a bowling machine, and a fully equipped clubhouse, all designed to help our members thrive both on and off the field.

🌱 Developing Future Leaders Through Cricket

At EDCC, we believe cricket is a powerful platform for shaping confident, respectful, and emotionally resilient young people. Our junior programs go beyond technique and match play, they’re designed to nurture leadership qualities, self-awareness, and team-first attitudes in every player.

We actively encourage our junior squads to take ownership of their growth, both as athletes and as individuals. Through structured leadership opportunities, mentoring, and open communication, players learn to lead with integrity, support their teammates, and represent the club with pride.

Our coaches and volunteers are committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where every child feels heard, challenged, and celebrated — regardless of skill level or background. Because at Everton, success isn’t just measured in runs and wickets, it’s measured in character.

The EDCC Committee

For a cricket club to thrive, a dedicated committee is essential and all of our members are either current or former players, who possess an invaluable understanding of the game and the club's culture. Their dedication and commitment stems from a deep-seated love for cricket and the community it fosters. They are the driving force behind the scenes, organising everything from match fixtures and ground maintenance to fundraising and youth development. Their unique perspective as former and current players ensures that decisions are made with the best interests of the club, the players and the club's long-term legacy in mind.
